TrichoTest™ is a complete genetic test for hair loss that analyses gene variations and lifestyle factors. It also tests for which treatments will work for a patient to give a personalised treatment plan to restore and grow hair.

This ensures that patients are not wasting their money on products or treatments that they are genetically predisposed to not working and instead focus their investment on treatments that will give them the best possible results.

Dr Yusra Clinic offers a range of different treatments for hair loss which includes oral medication or supplementation and topical solutions. This will be bespoke to the individual patient based on the outcome of the TrichoTest™ results in order to optimise the results. One such supplement has been found to increase the diameter of the hair by 12% and the rate of hair growth by 80%.

How to use

A simple saliva swab test will be taken in the clinic and then sent to a lab for testing. There is a review period after 4 weeks when the lab results come back. The clinical team then formulates a bespoke plan for patients, which may involve growth factor injections with needling, six sessions two to four weeks apart as well as supplements or prescribed medication to help to stop hair loss and to promote hair growth. The lab will then be contacted to compound the mixture.

There are no side effects from the test, it is a simple saliva DNA test swab.
